Sounds Like Fun! Big Summer Kick

I love this park in Berkeley Township and I hear they're having a summer kick-off party for the whole family.

Thanks to the patch.com, parks and recreation in Berkeley Township is hosting a "big" Summer Picnic Party at Berkeley Island, located at 399 Brennan Course (John C. Bartlett Jr. County Park).

From Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines:

“As the days get warmer and longer, this is the perfect way to start one of the best seasons in Ocean County.” “There will be something for everyone to enjoy.”

Several years Berkeley Island Park was rebuilt and it is absolutely gorgeous with a free spray park. You just can't beat this adorable little place. There are nice picnic areas for families and for the community to come out and enjoy a "Summer Picnic Party".

There will be something for everyone from music to a magician, according to the patch. There will be food trucks, arts and crafts, and more.

After Superstorm Sandy, Berkeley Island was destroyed, but in 2018 it was re-opened. And, as I wrote about in other articles and this one, I just love Berkeley Island. It's a beautiful place for families, fishing, walking, and so much more.

The picnic is Thursday, June 29th, 2023 beginning from 5 pm to 8 pm.
